Round Table “Para swimming in the Western Balkans: present and future”

As part of the ParaSwInclusion project, a round table will be held on Thursday, 28 August 2025, at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, Podgorica, starting at 09:30.

This hybrid event will bring together representatives of sports institutions, organisations of persons with disabilities, athletes, coaches, and decision-makers from Western Balkan countries. The aim is to exchange experiences, identify challenges and opportunities, and develop recommendations for improving para swimming and inclusion in sports.

During the programme, participants will have the opportunity to hear presentations on the current state of para swimming in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the process of establishing the Paralympic Committee of Montenegro, the results of the analysis and the register of para swimmers, as well as the importance of education for all actors involved in para sports.

  • 11:45 – 12:40 Analysis, examples of good practice, and professional reflections

Registration: Participation is free of charge. All interested participants can register via the online form. The Zoom link will be shared with online participants after registration.

The ParaSwInclusion project is implemented with the support of the European Union and partner organisations from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia, with the aim of strengthening the inclusion of persons with disabilities in sport, particularly para swimming.
